All right. Film Festival didn't turn out as well as expected, but we did get $19.22, and we spread the word to at least three people outside of our club about what we're doing. Just trying to be optimistic.
I'm not going to let this slow us down; I want at least $500, no matter what.
I haven't got any people saying that they can come today, so I'll just be going it alone, I suppose. I'll go out either today or tomorrow door to door with the cookies, and I'll let you guys know how it goes. If anyone's schedule clears up, just let me know.
I want to do something for the "Join the Vigil" thing. (Check here for more info) I want to make a mural with lights and decorations and the names of the people who died in the LRA Christmas massacres. Let me know if you have anything to contribute. Hopefully, we can take a bit of time at the end of the meeting on Tuesday to do this. I'm emailing about permission right now.
Thanks, everyone. I know this is a busy time of year, but I appreciate everyone's effort.

Meeting 12/7/10
Hey, sorry this is late, everyone is busy at the moment, sooo I'm posting!
First thing's first, Film Festival is tomorrow! Hope you've all been spreading the word everywhere you can! Let's see, check list...
This Saturday is supposed to be the Tuba Fest, but there's an expected 1-3 inch downfall of rain coming up. So I have a question for you: how would you guys like to bake cookies, work on t-shirts and watch movies at my house instead? (Our house would be good for something like that, just not an end-of-the-semester-celebration party) That way, if we decide it's not too rainy to go out and fund-raise, we still can, but if it's too rainy, we're not in downtown Portland.
Let me know! IC Roadies sent me a caroling packet so we can always do that instead.
Checking about selling t-shirts and such at lunch tomorrow. Follow up comment to come...
What do you guys think about this? Should we "Join the Vigil"? I think it'd be a nice thing to do, if you don't mind last minute things. Let's plan this up quick!
The party next Friday will be at... Kendall/Alysia's house? Where are we on that?
Annnd, that's all I got. Thanks for reading guys!

READ THIS
Guys, someone by the name of Kail McGrath donated to Change for Change today. How much did he donate, do you ask?
One. Hundred. Dollars.
That's right.
If anyone knows who this person is, please let us know, because a HUUUGE thank you is in order!
And if you haven't seen the last blog yet, check it. I just felt like this was probably important enough to have an entire post for. Thanks guys!

Hey everyone! I hope you've had a lovely World AIDS Day! Pretty awesome assembly today, right? ;D
Just wanted to let everyone know what's been happening in fundraising land...
We're selling t-shirts for $5 each, and necklaces for $12 each. I think what we'll do is we'll get permission to set up a table at some of the lunches next week to sell these things. Here's some pictures of the beads, just to give you an idea...
Short-length triple strand...

Medium-length single strand...

Long single strand...

Also! CLUB PICTURE will be NEXT MEETING! Be there, or you won't be in the yearbook with our club!
Don't forget to comment! Thanks guys!

Just wanted to let everyone know what's been happening in fundraising land...
- We are turning in the building-use form, announcement request and fliers tomorrow to get approved for the film fest. We'll make a Facebook event and copies of the fliers over the weekend and come Monday, it's go time for advertising! P.S. What movies are we showing? Our time slot is 3:15-7 p.m.
- Lock in is not happening. It was a wonderful idea, but things just didn't work out. Now you guys have an idea under your belt for next year. Hopefully, we can still do a celebration type thing, or one last fundraiser, or SOMETHING to celebrate a semester well-done.
- Drum rooooll... Our shirts and beads came in the mail today! In case some of you don't know, we now have hand-crafted bead necklaces from Uganda to sell. And blank t-shirts that we will spray paint with stencils to make them look super awesome.
