Only three people were able to come today, which isn't exactly enough for what we had planned. So we're going to have to talk over the blog about what we would have talked about today.
First thing: for the river clean up idea that Aaron introduced, we have to decide on a date. Things to keep in mind: if we do this during summer, people might be off on vacations, so not everyone would be able to do it. In my opinion, we should do it sometime in these next few weeks, before we have to start stressing about finals, and before people start leaving on vacations. Please post your ideas in the comments!
Should we have a meeting on June 15, which is during the last week of school, or should our last actual meeting be June 8?
We need someone to type pop can flyers soon, so that Alysia (love you!) can make copies.
This is just a thought, but I think that we should arrange a few more interviews for the PSA. Alysia and I did the interview with the counselor from the School Based Health Center last week, and we got a lot of terrific information. (We can watch the footage at the next meeting) Be researching any mental health professionals or events that we can cover for more of this type of info.
The Invisible Children fall tour is already starting to be booked up. Basically what this entails is that a crew of roadies, as well as a Ugandan guest speaker, would come to our venue and show a video of our choice. If we wanted to arrange them to stop at our library viewing, (which is also just an idea. We talked about making the viewing the best we can, and I think this is an amazing opportunity) we have to start thinking about possible date ranges for the vieiwng. They've already booked into October, which is why it's important we start thinking now.

I'm probably open for most weekends during the summer for the clean up but not in August... I don't kno when we are going to DC yet

Hey so I really love the IC idea! And the date would really be any time they can... Are the fliers done? Are we passing them out this weekend? And June 8th should be our last meeting because there will be alot going on during the week of the 15th...

Okay, so it's looking like June 8 will be our last meeting. If anything crucial comes up that people will need to be updated on, we'll just stick to the blog to communicate.
If Lexi would like to, then sure! I just don't want it to create drama in that group, so we're most likely going to have to work super hard to make her anonymous.
Well, our last turn out was great, so I don't think that will be an issue. We are going to have to advertise like crazy either way, so might as well throw in an awesome experience to boot!
I know it ultimately depends on when they can do it, but I would love to have a range of some sort, just so we can give them an idea.
The fliers are not finished, that is totally my bad, and I'm sorry. Alysia, I'm sending you a message on Facebook with what they should say, and you can go to town with formatting! Again, really sorry about the delay.

Well..I think we should try fitting in the meeting for june 15, but i just don't know how much studying time i need to fit into my schedule.
