I hope your summer has been fantastic so far, and I can't wait to see you all at Annie C's house for the Midsummer party. (Just a note, but we should start thinking about a date for that so that people can mark it on their calendars. Comment with your thoughts, please)
Just wanted to let you know that I got an email from an Invisible Children representative who heard about our viewing. I think we're going to try to work out an assembly at the school, and arranging for the roadies to stop by on their fall tour, one of whom would be a Ugandan high school student. Awesome, right? Really, last time I asked there weren't really specific responses. So if you have any on possible date ranges for the tour, possible conflicts, one month vs. another ideas, please comment.
If we'd like to have a sort of summer project, we can try to arrange the river clean up again. LEAVE THOUGHTS PLEASE.
Just a reminder about pop can pick ups, but be sure to keep up on those dates! This is really a time for your leadership skills to shine through! Take responsibility, contact people for rides, copies of flyers (Alysia is a great person to talk to about that, FYI...), help with passing out flyers/passing them out, etc. I'll post dates in the sidebar of the blog for easier access.
There should have been a can pick up this last weekend, and I know we've sort of been a bit lax this first week of summer. So if that didn't end up happening, let's make sure it does next time. I'll try to start sending out reminders at least a week ahead of time to help out.
If you need anything, feel free to call/text/FB message/comment/attack me in the middle of the night, kidnap, and interrogate me. Whatever floats your boat.

Ok. as for this month, I am booked.
As for July, the first week is booked for me. And the 19th-24th is also full. I still dont know what August is going to be like, all I know is I will be on vacation for a long time.
those are the dates that I am bussy. I don't know what Annie's plans are for the mid-summer party.
The IC viewing....sounds great!
an assembly at the school...mhmm we will have to have a good date that works. how about a Friday or a weekend in July?? I dont know what all of the calendars look like for you guys however it needs to happen. :)

well well well the days have been nice enough for them. so anytime will be great as long as the weather is great. (which it should be, cuz it is summer)
I can ask that other house again sometime this summer, they sure helped alot. but when that happens Ill need alot of people to help with that....thanks in advance.

All right, so just from that, I'm thinking the midsummer party would be great the last week of July. I guess we'll wait for *cough cough* INPUT FROM OTHER PEOPLE TO FIGURE OUT A SPECIFIC DATE. <3
The IC rep said that November 10 would be a good date for them, or sometime around then. So if that sounds good with everyone I'll get a hold of Mrs. Yarnell and try to get things going. And a weekend in July is a little quick, haha. ;]
Very true. This really won't take a ton of planning. But again, INPUT ON A DATE WOULD BE FANTASTIC.

um, well for the midsummer party I think sometime this month would be great. As long as it's not on wednesdays, or sundays. I'm usually doing something on those days ;D So if you want it near the end of July, then maybe it could be on the 26th, 29th or 30th?
I think November 10 for the IC viewing is a good date for it too, haha something to look forward too. :)

I would love the 29th. Because I like Thursdays. They're my favorite. (Plus I just want to make a decision.) If anyone is in opposition, speak now, or forever hold your peace.

It might be a good idea to email things around too. just incase some last min changes happen and not everyone checks the blog before then, sound good? besides, I check email every morning and night. :) let me know if you think it's a good idea.

We're pushing for November 10th, but it's not for sure. And yep, July 30th. :]
I do think it's a good idea. Especially for last minute changes, sure we can do that. But a problem that we've had in the past is that some people prefer email, and some prefer Facebook, Myspace, texting, etc. So it gets hard to handle everyone's preferences, because not everyone checks email that often. But if people would be willing to just check for the sake of convenience, I think it would work. :]

I don't have a facebook, or any internet connection type thingy besides email and the blog.
(being secretary) I know I can send the emails around if we decide to do it, at the sametime, someone could post the info on facebook for those who have it and perfer it.
(the blog still works for those who use it) I understand that not everyone would perfer email, it's only an idea, and I could do it.
If nobody is up for it, then I'm good for trying something else.
In conclusion, I would like the idea to come into play because I check email more often than the blog.
SO...It's an idea still. :)
