An idea...

Hey guys.

Not quite sure where the blog from this Tuesday is... but in light of recent events, I thought I would bring up a thought with you guys.

I'm sure you've heard of the tsunami-inducing earthquake that has now destroyed many parts of Japan. There have been reports of a suspected leak at the nuclear plant, and the death toll is estimated to be over 1,000.

Do Something sent out an email this morning, with the idea of making paper cranes for Japan. The cranes symbolize hope for the Japanese people and it's quite a touching motion. There's a Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/papercranesforjapan) where we can post pictures of the cranes we've made.

I was wondering if you want me to try and get in contact with people over the weekend so that by lunch on Monday, we can have a table set up with a crane-making station and donation jars? Would you be interested/think it's a good idea/be willing to man the table/teach people how to make cranes?

Thanks!

-Court

I would! But maybe since it's already Sunday and no one has commented on this, we should plan it on the meeting this Tuesday after elections.
