Meeting November 7th

Good job on the Halloween room you guys! We got a lot of cute little kids and successfully let them have a fun time! :D

So this meeting we talked about new volunteer ideas to do for this year. Here are the ideas we talked about:
  • Poverty type things (such as the can food drive)
  • Working at a food bank
  • Soup Kitchen
  • S.O.L.V. (Stop Oregon Littering and Vandalism)
  • Adopting a street and picking up trash once a month there
  • Involving in something for Caring Closet
  • C.A.S.A. (Court Appointed Special Advocates) (a program that helps kids who are troubled at home)
  • Homeless Shelter
  • Knit clothes (such as hates and scarves) for people
  • Spread the Word to End the Word (such as joining with S.T.O.P. club)
  • Make help/care kits
  • Save the Music (a program that saves music programs in schools)
  • Ideas that involve foster kids
  • Beach clean-up
  • The Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary
  • Tree Planting
  • A pre-thanksgiving with orphans maybe?
  • The Giving Tree (We could donate/raise money and awareness for this event)
  • Maybe fur protest?
If you have more ideas, comment down in the comment section below! Don't forget to come to the meeting next week! During, the time, have a great 4-day weekend! (hehe) :)

This all sounds awesome! But I agree with Skye. We should try and do more volunteer work with children.
