Hello my lovely people,
Today we talked about a lot of things.
Firstly, we talked about the Fundraising porject that we are currently working on. We are trying to hold a Club Competion to raise money for C.A.S.A. Amanda had volunteered to research a little bit more about CASA and me and Emma will work on getting to an ICC meeting and getting this fundraiser running. Jordan has also been contacting resturants to see if we could hold benefit night. Also Clara knows about a place that sells donuts by the dozen for a dime, so she was going to look into that more.
Secondly, we talked about doing some fundraisers to benefit our own club. Amanda is in charge of the walk-a-thon, and Emma is going to head the garage sale project. Also Caylee and Amanda are going to see if we could possibly hold a garage sale at their house.
Thirdly, we talked about doing some more volunteering with SOLV. We decided that Sundays and Fridays look the best and to also wait until after finals are over. I will be looking into that more.
And Finally, we talked about someone who decided that they didn't want to be in the club anymore. So Emma is still Co-President along with me. We are looking for a new Vice President as well as a person to be in Charge of publicity. Amanda is our new head of projects. Keep your eye out for people who you would like to be put into these new positions.
That is all for now,
Spencer :)

Here's an idea! Have you ever heard of the game "Bigger or Better"? It's where you go door to door asking people to upgrade something that you give to them. Most people have junk to get rid of and are happy to dump it on you. Last time I went we made out like bandits, and all that we collect we could use at the garage sale. It would be loads of fun too :). Also, is it possible to host the garage sale in the school or a church parking lot? That would definately help get word out there.
We don't want to host the garage sale at the school since we have to fill out paper work for building use request. But bigger and better sounds like fun and is a good idea!
Sounds good Spence!
Hey so I contacted a girl named Joanne Bengtson she is the head of the Neighborhood involvement committee and I thought that was a good place to start. i emailed her our idea about the walk-a-thon type thing around Tigard and hopefully she will get back to me soon. also I looked up casa and got a lot of info! I will show it to you next meeting, but i hope it will work:)
